After my daughter was born, when I didn’t have time for my artwork- just by accident I found myself drawing in the shower with my own hair, which was falling due to the postpartum process. There was a unique quality to those drawings. I found some interesting shapes and figures that suggested compositions that caught my attention and made me want to explore them deeply. I’m interested in the flow and movement suggested by the lines. The way they play, connect, intertwine, interpose and create different planes, as does life, it comes and goes. The line is like the umbilical cord that feeds another life. And then, that life when is born becomes independent and moves on. This series was initially inspired by motherhood, but it evolves and becomes something else: Figurative, abstract or simply a landscape, but always leaving room for the observer to discover and interpret what they want to see.
